Animals in War
This major monument, designed by David Backhouse, is a powerful and moving tribute to all the animals that served, suffered and died alongside British and allied forces over the centuries.
The memorial was unveiled by HRH The Princesss Royal on 24th November 2004 at Brook Gate, Park Lane, London. The memorial has received enthusiastic endorsement from many. It includes four free standing bronzes, two mules, a horse and a dog, and a 70ft long Portland stone wall carved with the many different animals that served.
